Self-confident people are positive, believe in themselves and their abilities, feel good about who they are, and live life to the full. Lack of confidence can prevent you from achieving your best or working to your full potential, and doubts or insecurities can inhibit your performance and stop you from overcoming challenges.
The good news is, we can build our confidence by understanding what affects it and by using simple, practical techniques to improve and increase it, and this one day course will help you to do this. You won’t become more confident overnight, but you’ll learn lots of practical tools which, if you use them regularly, over time will increase your inner confidence and make you more confident when dealing with others, so that you feel better about yourself and your life. In particular you’ll learn:
Where self-confidence comes from
How you can increase your self-confidence
How to recognise the unhelpful patterns and habits that affect your confidence
How to change your internal voice
How to see things differently and avoid making negative assumptions
How to handle feedback and criticism
Why what you think is right is more important than what other people think
How to free yourself from unnecessary worrying
How to use calming and focusing techniques
How to use body language to change the way you feel about yourself
How to speak confidently about yourself
This course is lively and participative and will help you find new ways to build lasting inner confidence. You’ll get an excellent understanding of the subject, lots of practical tools and skills to use, and most importantly, the confidence to put these into practice.
