The Power of Play: Unlocking Potential
It’s official - play is good for us. It opens up new possibilities, helps us to innovate and dream, and engages us fully in the moment. Play improves our lives both at home and at work. It helps to unlock creativity, improve relationships, promote learning, and boost wellbeing. Yet as adults we often find it difficult to let ourselves play for play’s sake. We don’t know how. There’s no time. We feel silly.
In his book Play, Dr Stuart Brown, founder of the National Institute of Play in the US, says ‘remembering what play is all about and making it part of our daily lives are probably the most important factors in being a fulfilled human being.’
In this interactive workshop, you’ll get the chance to play - to switch off your internal censor for the day and see what happens. You’ll get to break the rules and get things ‘wrong’. Tap into your spontaneity. Let your hair down and let off steam. There’ll be no winners or losers, no boxes to tick, no targets to reach. You’ll experience playful play in a supportive atmosphere, with space to reflect on how it feels and how you could bring more of its benefits into your life and your workplace.

We're thrilled to be working in partnership with Playful Being to bring you this workshop. Playful Being exists to help adults value playfulness. Their workshops and activities are all about freeing you up to play as yourself. They give you the space to lighten up, let off steam, step out of automatic pilot and be more creative – and help you find ways to weave those benefits into everyday life, both at work and at home. Visit the Playful Being website.
