High Slock Cottage

Tucked away in Scotland's most southerly point on the Rhins of Galloway, High Slock Cottage is the home of Saltbox director Nicki Davey and her partner Mark Pogson. Nicki and Mark are rewilding the land to increase biodiversity, contribute to carbon capture, and create a haven for wildlife, as well as developing space for people to gather for learning, wellbeing, and music-making.

This quiet, tranquil spot benefits from huge skies and fabulous views over the fields and hills, and is a short walk away from the spectacular coastline. There are stunning, unspoilt beaches nearby and, although it feels like the middle of nowhere with very little traffic or people around, the village of Drummore is just 3 miles down the road where there is a village shop, post office, and pubs.
