Meet the Modern Learner Facilitator tbc
The new infographic created by Deloitte called Meet the Modern Learner provides an excellent basis from which to explore the challenges faced by learning professionals today. In this workshop, we'll identify the key issues that it highlights about how people work and learn in the 21st century, what this means for us as learning professionals, and what practical steps we can take to make sure that we continue to provide effective and successful learning interventions in a fast-changing world.
Heart Brain Communication with Anne Clews from TetraMap UK and certified HeartMath Coach
The study of communication pathways between the head and heart has been approached from a rather one-sided perspective, with scientists focusing primarily on the heart’s responses to the brain’s commands. However communication between the heart and brain is a dynamic, ongoing, two-way dialogue, with each organ continuously influencing the other’s function. Find out how the heart and brain communicate and how the activity of the heart influences our perceptions, emotions, intuition and health. You'll discover the role of the heart in learning and performance and the negative impact stress has on learners, and how to use the foundation techniques of Heart Focused Breathing to reduce stress, improve performance, achieve clearer perspectives, and make better decisions.
Storytelling from the Heart - Power to Transform your World with Stu Packer, actor, storyteller and facilitator
Drawing on over 25 years’ experience in many varied settings, Stu will take you on an holistic journey in the importance of telling stories from the heart in order to engage learners. Stu believes that when we share a story, others will listen and be intrigued. When we share our stories from the heart, those listening will cradle this heart. True connection happens, relationships transform more deeply, and compassionate healing and meaningful learning can occur. It is cathartic to share, to speak our truth and to shine our light. Stu believes, "There is as much, or maybe even more, wisdom in our personal stories as there is in the stories of old." Bring your hearts willingly. Brains are welcome too.
"A wonderful opportunity to meet with other trainers from a wide range of backgrounds. Every time I take away something to use in my own teaching. The relaxed atmosphere is very conducive to trying out new things, ask for and offer help to other trainers, and make new friends!" Eva Ruijgrok-Lupton Mindfulness Teacher
