Trainers Exchange is a lively, enjoyable quarterly event where people involved in learning or training get together to learn, share and have fun together.

Our next event
Our next event is on the 29th September from 10am to 4pm and will include the following workshops:
Taking an Evolutionary Approach - What's already working? with Steve Creffield from Evolve Integral
Many of us already know the impact it can have to focus on 'what we want' rather than 'what we don’t want’. In this session we’ll explore what happens when we focus our energy on the times 'when things work’ rather than ‘when things don’t work’. In this highly experiential session we’ll use the “Bright Spot Story” technique to practice this approach, and we’ll look at how we can use it both for ourselves and with our learners to help solve problems, navigate challenging times, and uncover hidden values, purpose and capabilities.
Wellbeing and Learning with Sue Judge - Director of Infinite Wellbeing
People’s ability to learn is affected by their wellbeing – we all learn better when we are physically and emotionally well. What we don’t pay enough attention to as trainers/facilitators is the impact of our own wellbeing on our work. As facilitators of learning, our own wellbeing has an impact on learners and on the effectiveness of our training. In this fun, interactive session you’ll explore wellbeing from a holistic perspective and gain a greater understanding of what wellbeing means to you and how your own wellbeing affects your performance and effectiveness as a trainer/L&D professional. You’ll identify some key areas to work an and set SMART goals to address these.
Essential Training Skills with Nicki Davey, Director of Saltbox Training & Events Ltd.
After recently sharing a trainer competency assessment checklist with the L&D community in reponse to a discussion forum request, Nicki became curious about the variety of responses to the question "what makes a great trainer?" and noticed that people wanted a simple document that summarises the key skills or behaviours required. In this workshop, we'll explore different perspectives on what are the essential skills and behaviours for a great trainer and develop a "must have" competency list which we can use to assess and develop trainers within our organisations, or for our own personal development.
"A wonderful opportunity to meet with other trainers from a wide range of backgrounds. Every time I take away something to use in my own teaching. The relaxed atmosphere is very conducive to trying out new things, ask for and offer help to other trainers, and make new friends!" Eva Ruijgrok-Lupton Mindfulness Teacher
